Iraj has held global and regional leadership roles in banking and executive search. He also co-founded a dot com online communications business in 2001. These have given him particular insight into financial services, talent management and enterprising behaviour.
Iraj was Regional Market Leader of EMEA Financial Services, Global Head Client Strategy Financial Services and Member of the Extended Board Practice at Korn/Ferry International. He was also an elected member of the Global Partnership Council. Over eight years at the firm, he focused on the asset and wealth management sectors and also worked on senior-level executive search assignments in corporate and investment banking.
Iraj joined Korn/Ferry from Cantos Communications, an online corporate communications company, which he co-founded in 2001 and was Deputy Chief Executive and COO.
Before establishing Cantos, Iraj worked at JP Morgan,with assignments in New York, London and Geneva. During his 15 year tenure, he worked as a fixed-income sales professional, as a client relationship manager in asset and wealth management and as a corporate finance coverage banker in investment banking.
In his last assignment at JP Morgan, Iraj was Chief Operating Officer of the Global Financial Institutions group in investment banking and was a member of its global management team.
Iraj was educated at Winchester College and holds a Master’s of Philosophy degree in international relations from Cambridge University and a Bachelor’s Degree (with honours) from London University in politics and history. He is a Trustee of Shakespeare’s Globe where he is Chair of the RemCo and is a member of the Advisory Board of ‘Seeing is Believing’ at Standard Chartered Bank. Iraj serves as a Director and Board Member of M.M. Ispahani Ltd., a family business which will celebrate 200 years in 2020. He is also an Advisor to the Financial Services Practice at Oliver Wyman & Co.
