Kedge has more than thirty years’ experience of strategy and operational leadership spanning business, politics, family office and philanthropy across UK, Europe and Africa.

Kedge Martin is an Independent Trusted Advisor and Coach to senior professionals, family business owners and next gen. She is an expert listener, experienced in handling highly sensitive and confidential matters and formulating recommendations and solutions to complex family issues. Working with a team of professionals as required, she curates, designs and implements tailored programmes – varying from residential intensive leadership development; philanthropy/impact exploration and design; long term family reconciliation programmes to individual preparation to enter the family business and more. She has been engaged as lead facilitator for Standard Chartered Global Next Gen programme and participated in other Next Gen programmes (including Stonehage Fleming) and invited to speak at other forums on the subject of next gen.

Appointed CEO of Prince Harry’s charity, Sentebale in 2009, she was responsible for the turnaround of a complex situation including significant reputation risk management. Working from St James’s she provided independent mentoring and practical project advice as well as planning and leading international visits to South America, Africa and Europe.

Aware of the needs of young adults and early career professionals, Kedge created Forward Career Coaching (previously named Youngbow). Her team of professional mentors, career coaches and other advisors provide practical advice (including CV writing, interview skills), mentoring (career direction and leadership skills) and signposting (including job shadowing opportunities). Her workbook on how to find a great first job has recently been published on Amazon.

In late 2018, Kedge created Rutbusters – a new coaching and business connections’ company supporting senior professionals in career transition.

Kedge started her career as a researcher to an MEP and political lobbyist in the late ‘80s, before setting up a business in Poland in 1991 shortly after the collapse of communism across Eastern Europe and USSR. Returning to the UK in the late 90s, she joined the not-for-profit sector, creating WellChild, now the national charity for sick children.

Kedge is a member of the Independent Monitoring Board at Harmondsworth Detention Centre at Heathrow. She is a Governor of the Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Non-Executive Director of the Conservative Middle East Council which works to encourage understanding and promote friendship between Middle East countries and members of the public and UK Parliamentarians.
